You have 3 ways to do this, depending on your goal:
1. You can hide the selected items. They will still be indexed, but will not appear on the site.
1.1. Select the item (s) you want to hide
1.2. After you have selected the elements to be hidden click on Quick Change
1.3. Choose to Change Status
1.4. Select Hide
1.5. Save changes

2. Some items can only be created for internal use. Thus, the products will neither be indexed displayed on the website.
to do this, check the Internal use checkbox at the product settings level.

3. You can physically remove the item (s).
Select the items and click Remove.

NOTE. Once deleted, the items are actually placed in the Recycle bin where you can easily restore them if you deleted something by mistake.
to go to the deleted products can to recover accidentally deleted items
do the following
1) in the upper right corner of the SCE program, click on the show/hide menu
2) a menu will appear on the left, select the Recycle Bin tab
3) Mark items to be restored
4) click recover
5) save changes
