When you provide a URL during batch update, our servers will go and download 50-200 images per second from that source. Unfortunately some websites consider this a DDOS attack and they don't like that we are doing that. One of those website is dropbox.
In order for image upload to work you need to get an FTP address and upload those images there instead of dropbox. Additionally you can get the url from another website that will allow unlimited downloads at any speed and it will work.
The final solution is we can provide you an Easy Data Feed program that will take your URL and upload them to your Amazon S3 storage. You will need to get your own Amazon S3 storage and enter that API information into Easy Data Feed and use it, you can purchase that one here - http://www.easydatafeed.com/customapps/upload-images-from-csv-to-amazon-s3
