The long answer is because we found that the more users our customer have the more advanced features they would use and therefore the more support we require to continue to help our customers with using those features, enhance those features, and maintain those features. We understand that it can get expensive if you need many users, and that is why our per user fee goes down as you add more users.
The short answer is we are a for profit company and our profit for Shopping Cart Elite software is solely on the per user fee and not customer transaction fees, storage fees or bandwidth overcharge fees. Just as you need to make a profit for your company, we do as well. This profit is used in order to keep the lights on, cover payroll, as well as continue enhancing and maintaining the software for our customers. It is very fairly priced against our competitors considering you don't need to buy all of the additional apps that you would need. You may disagree and wish that we priced our software differently, but this is the one fee that is not negotiable. This is our price.
