You are required to provide product id or spider url in order to run this update. If you go to products > export > export full feed you will end up with Product ID. If you updating your spreadsheet without product id, you can go to Products > Data Mapper > (on top menu) Parsing Tools > Merge CSV and merge the exported product id spreadsheet with your spreadsheet using the part # as the merging column. Once you have a spreadsheet that has all the required columns for the update, you can run the update. Note that besides the required columns, you should only add THOSE COLUMNS THAT YOU WANT TO UPDATE. DO NOT UPDATE THE WHOLE EXPORT as you might end up overwriting something that you were not intending to update.
