There are four types of filters that can be triggered
- Custom Filters
- Category
- Sub Category
- Brand
- View
To trigger a filter you simply add "?" at the end of the url and write the rest of the filter as follows:
- Custom Filters = csFilter
- Category = cFilter
- Sub Category = sFilter
- Brand = bFilter
- View = View
The values for each are as follows:
- Custom Filters = csFilter=filtername@value (If you want to add more than one use "~" to seperate a filter Ex: csFilter=filtername@value~filtername@value)
- Category = cFilter=catname
- Sub Category = sFilter=catname
- Brand = bFilter=brandname
- View = view=row/view=grid/view=list
If you want to add a Custom Filter and Category and Brand and view you would use "&" to separate it Ex: csFilter=filtername@value&cFilter=catname&bFilter=brandname&view=li

You are only allowed to use letters numbers and "-". "-" is used for spaces or any other category that is not a number or letter (Ex: 1 inch would be 1-inch or 1/2 would be 1-2)
Here is an example of real URLs:
ADDITIONAL TIPS
- If you want to trigger a search result for a full category you can replace /category/ to /products
Ex: http://www.directlinemedicalsupply.com/category/needles-and-syringes would becomehttp://www.directlinemedicalsupply.com/products/needles-and-syringes
This will allow you to change the view of a category view to search results view
2.You can utilize the custom filter rules to link specific search result categories on the top menu, or search optimization redirects
